Carbon 2016

The World Conference on Carbon: Common fundamentals, remarkably versatile applications

July 11 - July 15, 2016
Pennsylvania, USA

The World Conference on Carbon (Carbon 2016), organized by the American Carbon Society. will be held at The Pennsylvania State University on July 10-15, 2016, and includes about 700 contributions by academic and industrial researchers from all fields of carbon science and technology.

Quantachrome’s scientists were heavily involved in organizing this major meeting and will attend the conference with many functions.: Dr. Carlos A. Leon y Leon will be presiding a Session on Carbon Fibers and Composites. Dr. Matthias Thommes has been a co-chair for arranging all scientific session within the symposium S10 Porous Carbon, and he will also will be presiding a session on Advanced Characterization at the conference. Dr. Thommes will also give a lecture in the session CO2 Adsorption, entitled: Systematic study of the adsorption and phase behavior of carbon dixode in ordered micro-mesoporous carbons: Towards and advanced pore structural characterization Furthermore, Dr. Thommes will give a talk at the post conference workshop, “Beyond Adsorption : new perspectives and challenges for nanoporous carbons, which will be held on July 16 at the City University of New York. Dr. Thommes will lecture about: Adsorption and phase behavior of water in nanoporous carbons. For program click here.
