Application Scientist
Quantachrome Instruments seeks an Application Scientist. We are looking for candidates with a Masters Degree (or comparable degree) in Physical Chemistry, Materials Science and/or Chemical Engineering. Experience in materials characterization preferably by physisorption, chemisorption, pycnometry and mercury porosimetry would be also beneficial.
The Application scientist will be involved in application support for existing customers, and will also provide technical support to distributors. Another major responsibility will be the involvement in software (instrument software and data reduction) testing/validation. Other important tasks will include involvement in scientific projects and collaborations (which will include presentations at workshops and scientific conferences), method development for customers, support and involvement in operator/user manual development/updates, support and involvement in the creation of technical documents (e.g.technotes), on-site service/customer training as needed periodically by our sales and service team.
The position will report directly to the Director, Applied Sciences.
